Happy Hump Day, Peeps!!
We are still buried in custom work but have decided to rotate between newies and custom stuff so we can keep showing you guys some fun stuff (and because it's so much more fun to switch it up!)
So I found the cutest bench the other day that was dripping with potential! For those of you who follow on Instagram, I'm sure you've seen it!
Remember this guy?
I put it up as a "Blank Canvas" but just couldn't keep myself from jumping in with my paint brush!
I wanted something soft and vintage. I always go bold and colourful so I thought I would harness my more "mature" side and tone it down a bit for this one. I chose two of Annie Sloan's hues called "Paris Grey" and "Pure" and got to work!
I roughed him up a little to give him a vintage vibe which made the beautiful shape of the legs stand out!
I'm really glad I chose the pretty muted tones for this project...
He turned out really well.
BUT don't let this fool you, I still had to add my signature hit of colour to this piece...only more subtle this time!
